I have RCS and what was sold as Rainbow Shrimp.
The "Rainbow" Hatch out Larva. Having alot of Tail Hanggers floating around, makes water changes a little difficult.

I put my Plython as deep into the gravel as possible, and hope none of the Tail Hanngers float by.
I have lost a few durning water changes, but the 3 Females are always berried.

Success at last! I saw 2 babies today about 1/4" long, so I must have missed them when they hatched. I'm betting there are more!

It is hard to tell from the picture, but this cray is steel blue. If you have questions about the snail, put it in "other inverts". Lets keep this thread on topic.

congratulations!!!!!!

I just took apart one of my blue cray tanks yesterday. It was set up for about 3 months with 1 male and 4 females. I had over 100 crays in there when I counted. There were about 10 crays the same size as the adults. These crays grow fast. I can even see the blue at a quarter inch in size. But it is like a clear blue since you can almost see through them. I have isolated the babies and reset the main tank. Now i will observe the baby tank to see % blue. So far it looks real good though.

I've seen a total of 5 now. About half are blue and half are brownish.

That is great news.
I can only count 9 babies, I hope there are more behind the rocks.

When I was doing water changes I counted at least 10. Some have that nice light color blue, others the steel blue and some brownish. I also have another female with eggs. Time to set up some more tanks!
