Vampire shrimp feeding?

I have a 20 gal XH tank with an Eclipse hood/filter. My bamboos station themselves in the outflow current of the filter to catch whatever drifts into their mitts.
I grind up algae flakes for them, they also eat mini-pellets and appear to eat frozen bloodworms that drift in the current. I also find them on the floor of the tank occasionally, picking up whatever they find on the gravel.
