hi
it is a sort of pool alimented by a really tiny stream.
i cannnot say it is in montain , but is the altitud (compared to the sea level) is between 200 and 400 meters, far inside land about 12 to 20 km inside (by bird fly)
by this fact no sea waves can reach this point, it have well vegetations around.

That small creek is probably going to the ocean. It's not unusual for shrimp larvae to float down pretty small creeks. If the creek is not leading to the ocean then there is probably a river nearby. As sean said, the larvae can reach a little pond during the rainy season when a nearby river floods the surrounding land.

That is not unusual either. Their habitats can even be 100 or 200 kilometers (or even more in many cases) away from the sea. After all, rivers can be that long or longer and most rivers reach the ocean at some point. Shrimp with saltwater larvae don't need to live close to the sea at all.
Keep us updated.
