now i am part of TPT and it is a great forum. i dont want this to become a HUGE argument. but i want to say that vinnimac, the guy who wrote that is an incredible shrimp breeder. he keeps them in FULLY planted tank with exelent filtration. he does frequent waterchanges. feeds his shrimp food as well as having them in a planted tank. i think that i know where you are coming from... but you from what i know do not know vinni. he doesnt "get by" that way. his shrimp are kept in a 36g and another one for his crs. he also is just giving a guideline. its also including with a fully planted tank with good water changes and matenence every week. he did not suggest the 2L thing. i personally think that if done right the 2l could work. but the 10g tank is much better. also remember the bio load of cherry shrimp. its not much. if you go to -> http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/shrim ... hrimp.htmlMustafa wrote:
You just go ahead and ignore all the information provided on this site and follow some description on a planted tank website. We, here (including myself), obviously don't have any idea about shrimp and no experience with them and this is NOT a specialized shrimp website. So, feel free to ignore all the experience and information provided by all the people contributing to this website and forum. I am sure you will do fine. And yes, try keeping 150 adult shrimp in a 10 gallon and try to get by with 30% a week water changes. Good luck! I'm sure you will do great and have 1000 shrimp in that tank in no time.

That's the point. It was everything else but rational. "Rational" would mean that you speak from 1. experience 2. consider the experiences of much more experienced people (me and others on this forum) 3. do not speculate 4. do not use cats and dogs living in people's houses as a reason why shrimp should/could be kept in 2 liter bottles. If you think all of this is "rational" then I don't know what to tell you.rymeyer wrote: So long as I did that rationally and courteously, which I did.
