Sweet, thats a good thread badflash. I think I read through part of that lastnight.

I am still debating about picking up a few of these, although I am worried it would be a little difficult to tell apart the glass shrimp and the M. lanchesteri

The ones in my tank have alot more color than any US Ghost Shimp, that I have ever seen.

They look to have a slightly different body shape.

Hmmmm, i'll keep that in mind.

Unfortuneatly my shrimp project may be temporarily post-poned. The heater in my salt water tank just blew a few days ago, and so its running on a back up. Now I suddenly have a Puffer that needs treatment in QT, which I used my back up heater to heat. In other words, I need to buy another heater ASAP.

Sorry to hear about the heater.

I learned along time ago
If money permits, Have a few spare parts on hand.

I lost some very expensive fish, Due to equipment failure.

So I know how you feel.

I have 2 ghost shrimp that ended up looking like this, and being macrobrachiums. They also seem to smell food as soon as it hits the water. But they are living with my RCS and seem pretty peaceful with the RCS. Since they were sold as ghost shrimp, I only paid $.25 ea.

Thats pretty cool Bulrush, and a good price too.

I was trying to get other pictures, of other Female that were carring,
But, the Algae on the glass. Would not allow the camera to focus.

These Shrimp are very interesting. They act similar to the Glas/Ghost Shrimp. But, they have alot more color.

It does not show it very well in the photo's. They have a reddish coloring along the top of there body.

I will try to post more Pictures of the females, as the eggs develope.

The only problem I can see, with trying to raise the young.
Is that they are in a 125 gal. tank. And trying to get food to them.

I will try to get them out, and put them in a smaller tank.
Have you ever seen, how small the larva of a glass is ?

They are small, and hard to tell what the are.

Just a Update

Sadly to Say, the adults are all gone.
They never showed any signs. They never turned the milky white, or any other odd looking colors.

But, on the Good side.
I have found 2 Of the post Larva Shrimp.

I will try to post a picture, when they are big enough or close enough.
