Hmmm. Good news/bad news day yesterday. Came home to find one of my cherries had died.

It was an adult, so maybe it was just "time".
But as I checked out the tank to see if everyone else was ok, I saw that not one, not two, but THREE of my greens are pregnant. Whoo-hoo!
One is only carrying a few eggs though, so it's possible the boy(s) didn't get to her and she's already dropping them. We'll see...

It's been a few days, and I'm still seeing at least two green shrimp still carrying eggs. I don't know about the one who only had a few eggs (hard to keep track of shrimp in my tank).
However, there's one green shrimp in there who's carrying
one egg. It's been at least a couple days, so I'm sure it's viable. I'll try to get a pic of her. It's great -- she's taking good care of that one egg -- she keeps fluffing and aerating it. I'm really rooting for her.

I love the colour variation in these shrimp...
And I finally got a pic of the girl with only one egg...
You can also see a pregnant cherry (all blurry) in the background there.

				This is so cool.
Whenever I drop food in the tank, all my shrimp crowd around to get their share. Tonight, one of them was a green shrimp carrying eggs.
A couple hours later, after the light went off, I stopped by the tank to have another look, and I saw a teeny tiny baby shrimp on the glass. I mean a teeny tiny baby shrimp. I looked around a bit more and saw another one a few inches away. Looked around a bit more, and I saw the pregnant green shrimp (I could tell which one she was because she has a mark on the side of her head) -- and she only had a couple of eggs left.
Damn! If I'd been sitting there watching, I could've seen the babies born!!
