The minimum size tank you should use is 10 gallons. Many get away with smaller, but they are on borrowed time. If you use a glass divider it is the same as having a small tank, so don't do that either.

Yes 10 gallons = 37.854 liters

In the USA this is the least expensive tank at about $9. US.

????i dont understant :))Maybe it that "in USA a tank of 10 gallon costs 9 US"?If is so, you're so lucky!:)If it isnt so, try to explain me what you wanted to say to me:)

I think that 10 gallon is too much for my project....In fact i would like to have minimum 4 species....My space is not so much so i thought to use some 25 liters tank...Maybe in the future i will use upsize tank, but now this is the situation..

Anyway i will use an external filter instead a sponge one, so i think i will be more "lucky" with the elimination of dangerous substances..no?

ciao

Hi Matteino^82,

I don't think that by using an external filter you will be more "lucky" with your shrimp keeping. I think a sponge filter would work perfectly in your 25 litres tank since such filters are good biological/mechanical filters. The shrimps will love to feed on the micro organisims present on the sponge filter.

Maintenance on a regular basis is more important to keep the shrimps in a healthy environment and keep dangerous substances at bay.

Good luck :D
