A shrimp scampi recipe include shrimp, lemon, butter, garlic, white wine, and parsley. A single shrimp wouldn't make much, so a group would be necessary... :-D

Crustacean larvae are given different names (like zoea) depending on their anatomy. A good key to the different types of crustacean larvae is here: http://www.scielo.cl/scielo.php?script= ... so&tlng=en

Although there are typos in the key that refers to figure 1. Go by the caption in the figure to see the correct names for the different types of larvae.

Good stuff! I've seen the terms many times, but never had anything to understand the basis.

This also explains why newly hatched brine shrimp are called naupili.

It might help to actually read the description of "Nauplius" in the link provided....not all larvae hatch at the same level of physical development.
