I'm pretty sure it is water changes for at least one trigger. I did my weekly water change yesterday. Today I had a magical scare. I noticed one of my breeder females on her side and badly colored. Suddenly she twiched and just like that she was out of the old skin! I checked the tank and saw 3 other molts. I then check my 40 gallon tank and saw several other molts.
The crayfish in the two tanks could not be synced to anything but the water changes as they came from two separate sources.
