It could be the rocks as well as I had some that were leaching Iron, so much so that it was off the chart.
Nothing new would survive in the tank.

Good idea. I'll see if I can find someplace cheap to test the water from the tank. I'm pretty sure my substrate and other items in the tank aren't leeching anything. They've all been in there such a loong time with very thriving shrimp that I simply assume it's got to be something due to the recent move.
I'll keep everyone updated with what I find! THanks for the help.
