If you do a 50% weekly water change, then don't sweat it. If you don't, increase to 50% for a few weeks until the water is nice & clear.
Shrimp keeping is NOTHING like keeping guppies. I keep both. Things you can do to guppies will kill shrimp in a heartbeat. Just reset your thinking and except for the idea of clean water, don't apply guppy think to shrimp.
