My fathers friend works in a water treatment facility and they put chlorine and chloramine. I also get alot of copper when I use the hot faucet. All of which are detrimental. :!:

Chloramine in the tap water in my area is 3 ppm. Most chemical treatments I've seen for aquaria use sodium thiosulfate, which converts the chloramines to chloride and ammonia. So, watch out for the ammonia generated from chloramines.

I've just found out that most water conditioners contain Natrium thiosulphuricum, which can be hazardous to shrimp. Is this the same thing we are talking about? I've never been to good in chemistry

Natrium thiosulphuricum
It's been quite some time since I had a Latin class, but I'm pretty sure natrium thiosulphuricum is sodium thiosulfate.

You probably mean "Syno". I had sent him some Red Cherries quite a while ago, so maybe he reproduced them and can spare some.

I think that you're right as "Na" is the symbol for Sodium and it probably stands for Natrium.

Na is the symbol for sodium on the periodic table. The more you know!

I just wanted to see how many nested quote boxes could fit in one post.
