Do greens breed as easy as cherry reds?

They breed easily, but they're not quite as prolific as cherries. Plus they grow slower, so it takes longer for the new generation to reach maturity and begin breeding.
Amanda Thanks for the details on the greens

I was getting back to ID a singular different shrimp in my tank and I'm convinced it's a green. Too bad I only have one right now. Some how it was in my last batch of amanos. It's completely black with a yellowish stripe down it's back. I think I'll try finding more where I picked him/her up and get them breading.

You think you could take a picture of the shrimp and post it here?

Amanda,
After I posted the comment about the time I noticed the GMT setting was incorrect and I ripped it off the post. Your too fast and saw it
Again thanks for the pics.
Mustafa,
I'll do my best. Tough little bugger to get a clean shot. Likes to hang in the java ferns.
Is it ok with both of you if I post on this thread? Or would you preffer a new one?

Not knowing that it's for sure a green shrimp, I think it'd be best if the pic went in a new thread. There are a few "mystery shrimp" threads already started if you don't want to start a new one though.

i'd love to get some crystals out here in the states, but they're so extremely hard to come by. and even then, it's so $$$. we need more domestic suppliers to drive down the costs here. mustafa and frank are helping us along on that front, and hopefully, sometime in the near future, it will become a reality. cheers!
