Simply try out another tank

Yes, she actually DID say that. I've been around shrimp for so long that I'm hearing tiny voices....and they speak ENGLISH!!
Re: Simply try out another tank
Is it known if these shrimp continue to molt throughout their lives? Obviously they don't keep growing, but some invertebrates do molt and stay the same size once they reach max size. If they don't keep molting then one wonders how their bodies last so long, since its my understanding that molting is the primary way crustaceans heal from not just injuries but general wear and tear.

They molt their entire lives as far as I know.Varanus wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 9:42 amIs it known if these shrimp continue to molt throughout their lives? Your tank is looking great! Nice gifs too! I cracked up at the mating gifs. Lol
Re: Simply try out another tank
thank you, about the mating part, I'm really a pervert, i cracked meself too lmao. My tank is just a rushing set up to be left outdoor, I hardly care about beautifying it because after some times later with algae growth and dirty stuff I won't have the time to maintain it.Nellyville41 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 8:13 am Your tank is looking great! Thanks man. I liked the jar at first but The glass I think didn’t allow light to really poke thru if that makes sense. It’s a clear jar but at the same time it’s a jar designed to keep moisture out so the glass is thicker. Plus the bottom surface area isn’t as big as I would like it.
Re: Simply try out another tank
I know exactly what you mean . Yup the new one has more surface area, I especially love watching them paddling from one end to the other endNellyville41 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 6:43 pm Thanks man. Re: Simply try out another tank
Hello guys,
Finally have some time off. I've transfered all of them, well hopefully it's "all of them". The old tank were still there for the 1 and only horn nerite snail. Will keep him there until the new jar develop algae on its wall.
It's a 1 gallon jar not really beautiful but relatively cheap around USD5.70
I started off from 23 Opae now I have lost count. Any experties can tell me around how many are they now average?
When I started this around 1 year ago, salinity around 1.005 sg now I tested it was around 1.010. No water change no feeding, hassle free, maintenance free. I just need to transfer them because all this while I just covered the old tank with plastic and it kept coming off, it's annoying.
Sorry for the low quality image.

Re: Simply try out another tank
Hello everyone I must post this right now because I was overwhelm for few days now about their changing into new jar.
The first day I thought well they will settle down. They doesn't seemed like doing their ritual dance but then I realize they did something which I have never seen before. They have this swimming behavior. They doing lap swimming in 1 direction anti-clockwise and doesn't seemed to want to stop.
Morning until 3pm they were just munching and staying on the bottom. Almost everyday now the swim lap started 4pm onwards until night time.
It was phenomenal. The most socialise shrimps ever they made me fell all over in love with them after I have abandoned them for so long.
