Hello everybody. I am new here, but not new to crayfish. I have a red crayfish, named Frisky, and a blue one, named Tiffany. We have had Frisky for a long time already, and he has molted twice. Tiffany is fairly new.

Image
This is Frisky, the day we first got him. He was pretty small, only about 2 iinches. He was shy at first, but was soon active and playful (He had a lot of toys in the tank).

Image
This was Frisky with his exo. He had molted about 5 hours before the pic was taken. He left a beautiful exo behind! This was the second time he molted.

Image
This is after his exo hardened and his bright color returned. See those pretty red claws! Frisky became a little aggressive, but still likes attention. He is now 4 inches long.

Image
This is a rather blurry picture of Tiffany. She is about 2 inches long and very dainty.

Nice looking specimens you got there. Im planning on gettin a blue lobster myself. I fell in love with crayfish after seeing good ol' bluey at my LPS 2 days ago.

Are these crayfish together???? Your blue cray is a Cherax Quad & your red looks like a Procambarus Clarkii. These two types of cray should never be mixed as the QUad will get very large & kill the other. Aswell the North American crays can carry a disease known as Crayfish PLague that can kill the Australian Cherax Quad.

Folks...just wanted to alert you to the fact that this topic, including fairy mage's first post, is over a year old. I don't think she'll be replying after all this time. :-D
