Red cherries and fish

Hi, newbie with shrimp but I have been keeping tanks for years. My question is kinda long so please bear with me.
I have 20 gal heavily planted tank with a beta, 2 german rams and 3 small panda cories. I first added 3 adult amano shrimp to this tank, they are doing fine.
So I figuered everything would be ok for adding red cherries. I got 10 from this site a few weeks ago. I have not seen any of them since the first day.
I would'nt think fish as small as the rams and beta would be able to eat the shrimp...am I wrong in assuming this? Or are they really good at making themselves invisable?
I have a filstar xp1 filter on this tank with the flow turned downed to almost nothing so I dont think the filter got them.
Thanks in advance.

So maybe try some adult cherries? The amano's are doing just fine. They have been in the tank for around 6 months.
