I've read several places, including here, that it is possible to breed Amano's in brackish water, but no details on how much salt "brackish" is.
Has anyone here done it, or have good info on exactly waht it takes? How much salt per gallon?

Here is a link to one of the reports:
http://mikes-machine.mine.nu/breeding_yamato.htm
However, keep in mind that people have succeeded raising C. japonica larvae at salinity levels of 17ppt to 35ppt. Any reports that you might read about someone "breeding" these shrimp in freshwater or with "aquarium salt" "sprinkled" into their water are cases of false identification of the shrimp they are keeping.

I've been trying to get to
http://mikes-machine.mine.nu/breeding_yamato.htm, but for the last few days I get no response. I read his article about the Amano's but never downloaded it for future reference. I just aquired 5 Red nose shrimp and wanted to review the article to start to prepare for attempting to breed them.
Does anyone know if
http://mikes-machine.mine.nu/breeding_yamato.htm,will be back?

http://mikes-machine.mine.nu/breeding_yamato.htm does not work directly for some reason, but if you go to
http://mikes-machine.mine.nu/
select Projects, then you can find the link to your page.
