salt for babies

i read that amano's babies need bracish water ? how much salt ( which kind of salt) for 7.5 gal , i have also 6 RCS female with egg's, what to do? add salt or not ?

Hi Cobalt, for Amanos, yes, the larvae need brackish/saltwater to survive. You could try looking over this link for info on how to breed:

As to Red Cherry shrimp, nothing extra needs to be done, the eggs will hatch as little shrimplets (looks like adult, except ULTRA tiny) in freshwater. Make sure you have some type of sponge/cover over the inlet of your filter so they don't get sucked up.
I strongly recommend you look at the Shrimp Varieties page on this forum and read info about each said shrimp. Good luck with your shrimp!

good article , but he didnt say how much salt per gallon & can i use regular salt ?

It says 30-35 ppt. That means 30-35 parts of salt pr. thousand part of water. This means approx 30-35grams pr. liter of water.
