Hi im neww to this forum and i would like to know if there are risk in consanguinary relations on these shrimps?


I am from Portugal and its still a bit hard to get shrimps arround here, but i am trying to get some different species

I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you worried about inbreeding with too few shimp that are from the same parents, or is this a question out interbreeding between shrimp varieties?

Interbreeding is covered in several posts and in the Shrimp Variety section in some cases. In general, keep members of the same genus apart to prevent interbreeding.

To prevent inbreeding I've bought shrimp from 3 different supplers, but I doubt this is needed.
