Yamato shrimps disappear?

I have about 10 Yamato shrimps in my tank. Over a period of 2 weeks, they have been going missing one by one. Now there's only left 1 or 2. Where has the rest gone? I can't even find the bodies. Thinking they must have crawled out of the tank, I look around the surrounding area but don't find any dried up shrimp.
I have two clown loaches together in the tank. Could they have disappeared into the loaches' tummies?

I've never seen the loaches acting agressively toward the shrimps. Funny!

They must have jump out. I found one yesterday crawling on the floor.
Anyway, I drained some water out of my tank so that the waterline is further away from the top of the tank. It works !
If it's eaten up, you will find some bodypart somewhere..

Are you sure they aren't hiding somewhere in the tank (do you have hiding places for them)? Our Hawaiian shrimp all crawled under a rock yesterday and this morning I'm finding lots of old shells and the shrimp are back picking at stuff in the sand/rock.

I would not keep clown loaches with shrimp or snails -- they are food! If the shrimps are trying to escape -- they are trying to escape from the loaches.

Really? I thought they only went for the snails...
Will try a new batch of shrimps without the loaches and see if that fixes things. Thanks Piscesgirl, for the advise.
