I have somewhat of a snail problem and am looking for any shrimp that would help combat them. I want to get shrimp to combat them because they are natural way to combat them. In the varieties page of this website the are some Macrobrachium species that seemed to fit the profile but they might eat my smaller fish or other shrimp. Are their any shrimp that would be "perfect" for me?

Most shrimp agressive enough to eat snails will eat the other tank mates as well. In my tanks I put in apple snails and they eat all the eggs of the other snails. Over time that puts an end to them. You can trap most snails easily and dispose of them using something like an old piece of lettuce, or some other cooked, but firm leaf veggie.
