African Worm Wood

Anyone ever seen this/used this in a tank? I was dreading a long trip to get bog wood when I came across this at a nearby LFS. It resembles bogwood except it has a light color on top and is rough rather than smooth. I'm soaking it now and it's giving off the same brown leakage too.

Don't they use that to distill absenthe with (which is banned in the US)? Not sure if it's the same kind of "wormwood", but if you got it from a LFS, it should be alright.

You and my husband! He said it was what they made absinthe from, just don't want to poison the vampire shrimp and kuhli's! Anyone put this in a tank before?
