I believe it looks like the wild type of Neocaridina sp. or maybe the wild-type Neocaridina sp shrimp crossed with a Red Cherry shrimp (based on seeing a RCS in the 1st pic). But I know Mustafa can verify this fact for sure. Hope that helps. :D

Thanks kenshin

That is what I was thinking.

I wish I would of found this site before I bought my first shrimp.

I sort out all the odd colored one's and put them in this tank and if they color up , they go to sorting tank #2.

As we speak I am trying to get better pictures.

Thanks to badflash , and my Wife, I can post pictures now.

Have a great day
John

I am 100% sure that you have a Neocaridina species there and almost 100% sure that it's the wild form of the red cherries Neocaridina denticulata sinensis. Whoever sold your red cherries to you probably did not realize that he/she is keeping two varieties of the same species.

Thank you for the identifiation Mustafa. Now the fun begins. I will be sorting out the two different vatities for awhile.

On the good side, I can say I have 2 types of Neocarodina's.

Have a great day
