				Hello
JayD976
Welcome to this Forum.
Since you are new, I will give you some pointers.
The first Topic of this Forum Reads "Always do a search first ".
It helps to answer alot of questions, so, they are not asked over and over.
The search is at the top of the page.
No, fish and shrimp do not go well together.
If you have a heavly panted tank, they will be better off.
Have a Great Day.
John

				Hi
JayD976
If you still Plan on leaving the Zebra Danios in with the shrimp, You need to give the shrimp as much cover as possible.
If the fish do not eat the Shrimp, They will Harrass the shrimp, wich will stress the Shrimp out.
If the shrimp are stressed ,they may not show good color, and could lead to there death.
Just My Thoughts
John
Ps. Have you read the artiles Page.

I tried putting fish and shrimp together hoping that my shrimp can still do well by adding more plants to provide more hiding place. but it was to no avail.
After 2 weeks, i cannot even find 1 of them.

Right now i keep shrimp in just a tank alone. No fish.

With the exception of just a very few small fish with specialized mouths for eating algae, ANY fish is going to eat your shrimp if it can fit it into its mouth.
Also, most any fish is going to bother your shrimp and you will be unlikely to have a successful breeding colony if fish are present.
Most of us keep shrimp only tanks, and if we do add some shrimp to a community tank, they come from the excess population from our breeding shrimp in the shrimp only tank.
This is the same reason why the antelope and lions are kept in separate enclosures at the zoo.

hum...well i would think that the shrimp would be ok with danios since after all...they are only danios. and i don't think all fish are bad with shrimp

i guess more or less it's all up to how the fish behave

for example, some bettas can live in a community tank peacefully while others attack everything living in the tank.

Guessing without having made the experience does not help here. Danios have mouths and a small shrimp can fit in that mouth. Same applies to bettas and almost any other fish. Please, let's not speculate about what works and what does not work when there is already ample information out there from people who have had the experience.

If you like seeing your shrimp constantly out and about in your tank and you don't wish to lose any to predation then keep them to themselves with no fish. If you don't mind them hiding more often and disappearing at random then go ahead and add fish to their tank. Shrimp are on the lower end of the food chain and as such tend to get eaten by many other animals. To me this subject is really simple. The thing I find funny about it is that so many people feed some sort of shrimp food or food containing shrimp to fish and yet wonder if fish will eat their shrimp.
