Is it okay to put Guava leaves into the tank?

I would be careful about introducing a leaf that I was not completely sure about. I don't really know much about guava plants, but I do know that many common plants are unexpectedly poisonous. For example, nearly everly tree in the cherry family has cyanide in its leaves. If you can locate a vet that specializes in birds, he might be able to help you -- they deal with poisonous plants quite often. Then again, it might not be much help -- what's poisonous to one animal may not be to another. So, my advice is to stick to leaves known to be safe. If you live in the US, I'll be happy to mail you some nice, safe oak leaves.

Brad is right. Don't risk poisoning your shrimp by using leaves that might be poisonous. I know for a fact that oak and beech leaves are fine...can't say the same about any other tree species. You'd have to do some reasearch.
