Is is possible to keep red ramshorns without their population getting out of control? I've read that some of you have them; any opinions besides killing the adults?
Will Amano shrimp eat the eggs? Can you often find the egg clusters for removal?

I have blue ramshorn babies, bought as eggs so don't yet know their reproduction rates.
I keep asolene spixi and they also lay jelly egg sacs but they are quite easy to spot and remove.....I hope the rams eggs are as easy to see.

Last month when I got my shrimp, I was given about a half dozen of these.
I tossed them in and now have what looks like hundreds of baby snails.
I don't really mind, but I did remove the adults and will end up crushing most of the babies to serve as shrimp food.
They are really pretty snails though so I am not bothered by having them.

I think yes. I have 4 ramshorns and I sometimes see egg clusters and small babies but they always disappear in time. I think shrimps can eat them when they're young and vulnerable.
