Soon my 20High will become available to my cherries and i was thinking of combining another species with my cherries. anways i did a search and saw it can be done but u may end up with the diff shrimp species mating n producing hybrids. Do u thin it will be a problem in the 20high and what species would u put with them? i saw others say bees in the search i did

Cherry shrimp is neocaridina so any caridina species will be ok with them.

Go to shrimp species and check out all the shrimp that aren't neocaridina that are suited to your water type.

i was going through the caridina varities and they mostly need soft acidic water to feel well and breed, problem is i have hard alkaline water so i dont wanna put them at risk since my cherries are in hard alkaline water, but id like to have a lil diversity. Anyone keep cherries and another type of shimp in the same water params that i do and have success wit the 2nd type of shrimp?

There's at least one there that needs alkaline water to thrive.

well there is the green shrimp, and a few more that need
Needs soft to medium hard, alkaline water over the long run. Should not be kept in acidic water at all.
they should be ok i assume.
