Was looking atb the latest issue of Fish Magazine and there was a corner where they introduce the hobbyist. This month was a shrimp type and he mentioned you and the site.

Wow...I had no idea that Japanese hobbyists were even aware of this website... :-D. Maybe if they started joining this forum we could have some valuable insight into the Japanese hobby and hobbyists, too! They are like a big black hole as they don't seem to communicate much with other hobbyists around the world.

Thanks for the update, Ed! :)

There's no online version of the magazine. Considering it costs about $15 an issue. But, it is nice that Mustafa is getting some recognition.

I guess not many Japanese people use English and that's why they seldom communicate with western people.

I know, language problems are the main reason why they don't participate. However, I know for a fact that their English is good enough to actually come here and read my site. I guess they're just a little bit shy. ;) :-D

Coming from a Japanese and Chinese background, I can tell you that it is true. Japanese people can mostly read English but just cannot write well. Even if they can write, they are shy about it since they are afraid that their English writing skill might be bad and they think people would have a hard time understanding their opinions - so therefore it is better not to write. But there a lot of Japanese people who are crazy about the shrimp hobby :-D .
