I renovated my 10 gallon tank after receiving some free shrimps from a friend of mine. I received the shrimps less than a week ago and I discover there was a pregnant female (yipee!). I hope you enjoy the pictures as I have enjoy taking them .

Specs:
Tank: 10 gallon leader
Flora: Hornwort (regular and long), x-mas moss, java moss, java fern windelov, java fern, another type of fern that I haven't been able to identify, anubias nana, bacopa monnieri (moneywort), some moss balls, an unidentify plant from Mike, and cabomba furcata (?)
Fauna: 9-11 cherry red shrimps
Substrate: None
Filter: ATI Hydro sponge
Lighting: 36 watt power compact Finnex light

















Pregnant female who just lost four eggs somewhere and now only have one left. There's also one with a blue saddle...how odd.







Any advices and comments will be appreciated

I'm curious though, why no substrate? easier to clean? I also have a 10 gallon and with no previous tank experience of my own my GF help me set it up but the thick layer of gravel is a pain to clean...

Yup, it's much easier to clean this way and also because I'm completely broke after going out and eating with friends (hey, school is almost over so we had to celebrate). I figure with the moss and plants in the tank, the shrimps wouldn't give a care about the substrate as much as I would.

Hey, as long as your plants are growing well you don't need to change a thing. Keep the shrimp happy and you are set. Keep us updated if you decide to make chages.
