BGA bad for cherries?

I've got Plenty of BGA despite a 4 day "blackout". Nitrates/nitrites are zero accoring to testing.
I have noted a few cherries die in last week but none of my water values have changed nor have I added/taken away anything (except 20% water change w/ R/O as usual).
I'm just wondering if the BGA is affecting my cherries (diet?). I do feed every other day w/ spirulina flakes to supplement their diet.
Any suggestions?
BTW - the amanos end up eating the fallen and all I see are the remains, canibals!!!
