In my little cherry red shrimp colony, I saw one or two of them with this weird brown lump protruding from the side of their head. What are these lumps and should I be concern? Do I have to isolate these individuals? Thanks in advance :)

Please give more detailed description: length of time, behavior changes of shrimp, spread on individual and to others, picture would be most helpful. It may just be nothing but we can not be sure until we have more information/cause.

Length of time...hmm I notice this when I first received the shrimps and it has lasted this long. That would be about a month ago or so. I don't believe this brown lump spreads to other shrimps and it might just be a genetic mutation. I'll try to get a picture but it's a bit difficult. Here's another odd thing I notice: This only occurs on young juvies without any coloration (pale see through).
