I have a 15 gtal. tank leftover from my goldfish Ed(he got his eye ripped out by a crayfish and barely survived then died 2 weeks after I got home{not sure from what though}). I'm thinking a VS shrimp. Also maybe some smaller shrimp depending on what I can find. Thanks Evan.

Whatever you put in it, cycle the tank first. :)
Any shrimp species (except some huge monster shrimp like Macrobrachium rosenbergii) will be fine. Make sure that you do not put more than 2 Atya gabonensis into that tank...that species gets pretty huge.

Its still cycled . Just kidding thanks for the info. I would like to have ghosts, amanos, tigers, red shrimp(of some sort), greens. ninjas and of course VS. Would all these work? Thanks Evan.

Oh. I'm so used to fish. I wouldn't dream of putting that many fish in a 15.

That would depend on how many shrimps you wanna put into that 15g? They are small (with the exception of the VS of course) :-)

Why don't you just start with one shrimp species and see if they'll live first? Gain some experience first before opening a 15 gallon shrimp zoo. ;).

I prefer shrimp farms myself. I think any more then 3 spices in a tank is a little cluttered. Though you can mix and match them as you please. Just get a good color combination and more then one of each. In the wild I wonder how many shrimp are usually found with each other? Anyoen know the answer to this?

Depends on the type. For peaceful types, there will be as many as the food supply can support.
