Hey, were you serious about meeting a travelling shrimp salesman? lol That sounds so interesting, how did he keep the shrimp packaged while he travelled do you remember? Were they individually bagged in a briefcase or what?

PS -- I'm new here! I raise dwarf crayfish, many snails(especially apples in all the "pretty" colors: purple, pink, blue, etc.), bettas and guppies. Currently seeking out all species of freshwater dwarf shrimp.

I think he meant traveling *food shrimp* salesman who is trying to get you to sign contracts for 2.5 tons of frozen shrimp. And I don't think he took his frozen shirimp with him on travels.
Welcome to the shrimp hobby by the way.

haha wow...this really shows how innocent/naiive I am about what 'shrimp' means in the real world

I literally pictured some funny little guy in a purple suit or something travelling around selling red, green and blue shrimp as novelty pets.
Thanks for the welcome, I can't wait for my tanks to be full of these fascinating little creatures.

The 40GB is set up, it looks GREAT. I built a filtration system that will be strong enough to keep the water perfect as well as gentel enough for the little baby shrimp.
Well I am sure the little guys are going to love this tank when it is cycled!

That is one beautiful tank, are you going to do a fishless cycle or planted cycle?

What kinda filter is that or did u make it with the attachments? And yes he was one of the traveling men who sold live shrimpa ctually. I guess he would set up contracts and then when they were fishing htem you sell the live shrimp directly to the company that bought them. An intresting business you can make million...remeber Forest Gump did it hahahahaha.
I do know one man who does actually sell our kinda shrimp we like. He travels and gets different distributers to take the shrimp and sell them whole sale. Have to search for his number havent takes to him in so long.

Please tell him to sell a wide variety of fw shrimp to the stores in San Francisco please--we never seem to get many up here for some reason.
