Cherry Shrimp Lifespan

I noticed that I have more females than males. Is this because males have a shorter lifespan? I would think that from all the galloping during mating time that they could wear out faster.

That's a very good question. I observed the prevalence of females over males in my RCS tanks too. In some tanks there are slightly more females, in others quite a few more. I'm not quite sure if this is just an "illusion" as females are much easier to see. We all just have to observe this more closely to find out.
