Cajun Dwarf Crayfish (Cambarellus shufeldtii) Baby/breeding

Post by TKD »

Hi everyone,

A few questions:

How big are the babies of these crays?
Are they the same size a cherry babies?

How easily stresses are adult crays?
Would moving a berried female cause to loose her eggs?

Thanks,

TKD

Just about...maybe a tiny bit larger/wider.

I don't think so.

Another question that I have...

Betta and Cajun Dwarf Crayfish? OK or not? I'm thinking not but then I would need to find a place for my betta...

I would not mix them. The betta might bother the crayfish (especially if they are still juveniles and/or freshly molted), but adult dwarf crayfish might also shred the beta's fins at night. So, not a good idea to mix them in my opinion.
