Hi there. I have been reading a lot lately about this and some people mention in some threads that they think shrimp take all the things they need from their food to molt, etc.

I want to know your opinion about this and why you think it is so.

Thanks,
Pedro

Because *every* animals (including us) gets its nutrients from the food. Shrimp can take some of the minerals they need (such as calcium etc.) through their gills from the water, too. It all depends what the availability in their environment is.
