Liverworts in the shrimp tank anyone?

As slow growing plants are now favoured, I was wondering if anyone has tried aquatic liverworts. I would imagine that their large surface area would be enjoyed by a hungry shrimp on the prowl.
These are becoming very popular over here for planted aquaria, being extremely ornamental and easy to grow.

I always used Riccia until recently. It is anything but slow growing. The shrimp do like it, but it suck nutrients & blocks light.

Sorry I didn't explain very well last time.
I was thinking of Monosolenium tenerum rather than riccia.
This doen't float like Riccia.

Before I moved my green shrimp with the snowball shrimps, they were mostly in the Monosolenium tenerum that I have grown for them. The baby shrimps seem to love it. So I believe that should not be a problem. Also, I have them right now with the Crystal Red shrimps, Tiger shrimps, Red Cherry shrimps, and Black Bee shrimps. And they all seem to be doing fine. I believe it provides some sort of protection and grazing area for these shrimps. But of course, I would not let them outgrow my tank because I believe it will be the same theory as Java moss when it outgrows the tank and out-competes everything such as the beneficial micro-organisms. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the information everyone and the photo. It looks interesting and worth a try. I still think the mosses in conservative amouts is the best but I am willing to try something new

Like most things it depends on conditions, but for comparison I would say its no faster than java moss.
