Eggs outside of swimmerettes

One of my berried tigers has two eggs stuck on the outside of her body....will these be released during the hatch or will they be removed during a post natal moult? Is there any chance these two eggs will hatch?

I've been freaked out by that pic of the cherry shrimp with all fungus under her and don't want that to happen to my tiger shrimp.

Those eggs will probably just fall off.

The female will not molt while carrying eggs.

Don't freak out about the fungus. What you saw in that picture is so rare that I have never seen it anywhere before....and I mean anywhere in the world...not just among my shrimp. :-D

That is good to know that it is rare. That reminds me to ask for an update on that thread, I hope the shrimp was able to recover after she molted!

Thanks for the reassurance. :D

I also would like to know what happened with that cherry shrimp. I bet her next moult looks so trippy.

Soon after I bought my first crs a femle was carrying eggs. She molted while carrying the eggs and all the eggs were lost as they were discarded together with the exoskeleton. this never happened again.

Why could this have happened?

Often the stress of a new tank with different water parameters will trigger a molt. That is likely what happened with yours.
