Female injured after mating?
One of my C. diminutus females carrying eggs appears to have been injured during mating. She has lost one of her walking legs and a couple of the others do not seem to be able to move correctly.
Because of this, she has a very difficult time staying upright on her legs, and if she flips over, she cannot turn herself back.
She appears to be crippled but not sick or dying. I know there is not much I can do, but I have been using a jet of water from a turkey baster to turn her back over when I notice she is flipped.
Mating must not be a very safe activity for female crays. I've noticed that they often lose a claw (or two) in the process.

When this happens in my cajun tanks I take the female out and put her in a 2 1/2 gallon tank by herself. I slowly nurse her back to health. Half the time this works. Sometimes she is just to injured. I have a female right now that is holding eggs isolated. She is missing about 5 of her legs and 1 claw. Still alive after 1 week and still holding. She just might make it. I think yours may be fine as long as you isolate her and she eats. Laying on their side is generally not a problem as long as they are eating. Good luck with her.
