Turn off all water motion and room lights. Put a bright light over the water. The zoes will go to it. You can then get them easily with the turkey baster. Chance are there will be hundreds and hundreds.

That's what i've been doing--well, almost exactly. I just got another 10-ish out of the 20 gallon.

Okay, I turned off the filter, turned off all room light, and put a flashlight on top of the glass canopy.
Now, I'm just waiting.
I did see that I have new RCS shrimplets! LOL Good lord, I have shrimp coming out of my ears over here!

Newjohn, YES IT IS!
Oh, and after I did what badflash recommended, I only found 1 more zoe. I don't want to leave the filter off too long, because I don't want to kill the nitrifying bacteria. I did take the chance to get the RCS shrimplets out of the filter though. lol

You won't hurt the bacteria until the filter is off at least 6 hours, so don't worry. If you don't see any after an hour, go back to normal. What sort of filter arrangement do you have?

I have found about 4 more after my last post on this thread.
The filter that I have on the 20 gallon long is an AquaClear 20 with a sponge from a sponge filter over the intake that I cut to fit and fastened with 2 cable ties.
I am assuming that the RCS shrimplets that I got out of there this evening wound up in there when I still had an AquaClear filter sponge on the intake.

Thanks! Even if I don't succeed, it'll be a GREAT learning experience!
If it pours when it rains, there must be a HURRICANE over here in Nebraska! LOL
Yeah, I have an arsenal of corny jokes tonight! LOL
