cherry red shrimp=Neocaridina heteropoda var. red
If you went this shrimp so yellow,you must be need golden male to mate it.

Welcome to the forum! Those are some nice shrimp. Another forum member here (zwergkrebszuechter) has golden/yellow Necoaridina sp.. They look more yellow than yours but that might just be because you did not use much light (no flash?) to take the picture. Do you have pictures with more light or using flash?

This would be a good place for some clarification. I've seen cherry shrimp referred to as Neocaridina heteropoda v. "red" on other forums - is N. heteropoda a junior synonym of N. denticulata, or was N. denticulata ssp sinensis elevated to species level? Or, is there some contention as the cherry shrimp's true identity?

The yellow shrimp shows different tone of yellow like the cherry reds do with the red. You can see very yellow ones and some that are a pale yellow. Eggs are in fact yellow. I have to agree with Mustafa about his observations regarding that one pic is with flash and lots of lights and the other is not.

There was some recent re-classification of some shrimp. I think Mustafa mentions something in another thread about this.
