Pond snail with algae growth....

Anything that is slow enough will eventually grow algae it seems. Here is a dramatic example

Are you sure that is is algea and not some sort of parasite?

Looks like the black beard algae I battled with when my phosephates were sky high. Kool stuff if it wan't so invasive.

I know, like I said it looks like a tree and the snail is the pot moving it around
