Hello!

I was wondering if anyone here breeds bumble shrimp. I have aquired some bumble shrimp to add to my shrimp arsenol. I was wondering on any helpful tips in reguards to breeding them, as in what is the water chemistry or temperature trigger for a sucessful spawn. I am really excited about my bumble shrimps and I hope they will thrive as well as my cherries, if not, close. I have read all the fact sheets on bumble shrimp here and at the shrimpnow place. They are pretty basic and really don't go into much detail. I have seen some detailed CRS pages, and the information on bumbles is no where close.

I have about 10 in a 10 gallon.

Have a happy shrimp day!

I know frugalfish has breed them and the young are doing well but the adults are not. I would ask him, best wishes :)

Thanks for letting me know!

I also came across an old tread here, eventually, from 2005 by GunmetalBlue that is sort of helpful, lots of detail.

All of the advice I can give you has already been posted in my thread titled "My white headed bumblebees". Other than what is there, there isn't much more to tell. Soft water, moderate to acidic pH, steady parameters, and cooler temps. There aren't any secrets and although you state that you haven't found any specifics, between my thread and GunMetalBlue I don't think you can get any more specific. If so then please ask a specific question of what you are not gettng an answer to. Good Luck.
