Hi gtr_kev,

First of all I would get the mosquito larva out of there before they hurt anything including you ( when they become adult mosquito). Secondly, you really can't know the exact time the eggs will hatch but it is usually 3-4 weeks from when they start to carry the eggs (sooner in warmer water temp). Mine usually hide in the plants or under a structure a day or so before release

Any fish that will eat the mosquito larvae will likely eat baby shrimp if not your adults. I would not place a fish in the tank.

As long as you don't leave them in there, use a feeder guppy and be sure to provide cover for your shrimp. Most guppies leave adult shrimp alone, but will happily gobble up the babies.
