Hello,
i start my project of breeding this caridina...

i will conduce two experience simultaneous (two method)

2 - Logemann method

wish me good luck

if you have any tips or comment who can help me succeded or avoid me make some error : talk
i know some of you already do that in the past and i am open to learn for expereinced people

I will also be trying the french method shortly. I finally have lots of berried females. I expect a hatch in a week or two.

Aged salt water and marine green water is what I'm going to use.

For now I'll stick with live foods. Dead foods have too much down-side fouling the water. I'm sure that is what ended my last 2 tries.

If I could get even a 10% success rate, I'd be overrun. At 300-500 larva per hatch, that would be a lot of shrimp.

I was unable to find any dunaliella Salina and nannochlorpsis dies quickly at 34 ppt and above. I am using Tetraselmis. This is very easy to culture and can handle full salt water with no issues. It is one of the standard feeds used in aquaculture and has been used as a feed for succesful amano breeding.

the only one problems i can see is the tetraselmis is bogger and motil ...
the dunaliella and nanno are non-motil.
well in fact dont know if it is really a problem, tyou will tell us

did you try florida aqua farm ?
or LFS culture ?

Yes, and several others too. I got some nano from florida aqua farm and used it last time around, but no success. I switched to tet as another member that succeeded used it. I can't remember who, maybe eraserbones or carbon etc. My inbox has since purged.

In the USA Jose can be pronounced as Hose-aye or Joe-sey, Joe-sey being the womans's name (although some men have it too) with Hose-aye being the spanish verson of Joseph. Please forgive us for the assumption. For some reason the shrimp & cray forums are dominated by men, with only a few very welcome and competent women.

It is interesting that the snail forum I belong to is dominated by women. The fish forum is about 50-50. I haven't been able to figure that one out.
