Hey guys,

Guess what? I have finally managed to breed 2 different strains of Bumble Bee shrimps. They look exactly the same as Mustafa's pictures under "Shrimp Varieties" - the first 2 pictures.

It took me a long time, but finally after months of patiently waiting, I got my F1 generations of both strains - they are around 1 month old for the white headed strain and the dark head strain are around 1 week old.

Both of these strains were bred from imported/wild-caught shrimps. I will update this once I can get the camera back from my wife (who is currently in Japan for a long summer vacation with my kids as well) with pictures to show you guys my 2 strains of Bumble Bee shrimps.

Now, I can only hope they will produce F2 generations and I will not experience any crazy disaster along the way anymore.

Also, now I cannot wait to get my hands on the 3rd picture strain of the Bumble Bee shrimps. They look so cool. :-D

Congrats! :) These shrimp are awesome. That lady on the second picture you are talking about has produced a bunch of offspring already, too, so she is a "pro" ;) . She is very special, as she is the only one of my "queen bumblebees" (as I like to call them as they are really special, beautiful bumblebees) that has the black dot on her back (in the midsection in the large, white band). All my other queen bumblebees don't have that black spot.

Anyway, good work and good luck!

Wow, I never pay attention to that little black dot until you stated it Mustafa. Now I need to check out my F1 generation to see if they have it. :-D
