Cherry Shrimp dropping eggs

I have noticed over the past few weeks that whenever the female cherry shrimp start to carry the eggs, they drop them within a few days. I do 15% water change on a 10g once a week, the temp is about 78 and there are no other inhabitants other than nerite snails. I do not fertilize and I do not over feed. Can anyone tell me why my shrimp keep aborting?

Do you have any male shrimp?
Also it's a good idea to use the search funtion as i'm sure people have posted about this happening on many occassions.

Are you positive you have males?
Up your water changes to 25% per week.

I am positive I have males (if the males are smaller and a lot more clear). I have about 7 or 8 females and about the same males.
I will try the 25% WC and see if that helps.

Color is not the only thing to use. There are pale females. have you see the mating zoom? Real males will go crazy and zoom around the tank a day or so before the eggs appear.

Yup I have seen that. I just thought that they were just trying to find a way out of the tank.

It also can't hurt to try dropping the temperature down a bit. They are very hardy and thrive at lower temps. I don't heat my cherry tanks and they reproduce like mad.

True, but 78 is what I keep mine at, and they also produce like crazy.

I live in a very cold part of Canada where it gets down to -44 at night. I like to keep everything stable
