Guys,

Has anyone kept them in aquariums? For those guys who are new to them, just type fairy shrimp in the goggle then you will get to know what I am referring to. I got hold of 15 of them from my friend. Need help from guys who have successfully kept them in aquariums. They are a close relative of brine shrimp, but these are freshwater srimps unlike brine shrimps.

Regards,

Sridhar

You need micro food for them to filter. They don't need much. Sunlight and green water are the best. Use R/O water or distilled to make up for evaporation and do not do water changes. I use an air line withno stone. Fine bubbles can be a problem for them.

Also, Triops will eat them, so if you get any, you will want to separate them. Actually just about everything will eat them.

But sometimes Triops get whats coming to them.

I personally never feed mine, I just give them plenty of light and plenty of room.
I just found a puddle on Sunday that had thousands of them along with tadpole shrimp and clam shrimp.
