Bumble Bee shrimp

Post by TKD »

Well after selling a female bumble that I though had droped her eggs because of my pH beeing to high.... I see to babies (2). pH is 7.2+

I bought the female as she was berries from the LSF. pH in the water is the same that I have.

It was more of a "let's see what happends" thing I'm shocked that
1. She did not try to get out of the tank.
2. The babies are alive with the rainbows.

Just when you think you have shrimp figured out... probably because i'm moving in 2 months :(

As for you PH being to high.

I have both Tigers & Bumblebees breeding in water with a PH between 7.2 -7.4.

Maybe Mustafa will chime in and let us know how his shrimp are doing in the liquid rock of California.

Are they breeding or just berried?

Breeding. I counted 3 young just yesterday. <Community tank does make for a lot of competition for the young though.
