A lot of people have use LFS. Since I'm new, I'm assuming it stands for Local Food Store?Bradimus wrote:Buy a high quality spirulina flake. This may take some searching at your LFS. Most foods labelled 'spirulina' actually contain little spirulina.
Powder the flakes before feeding the shrimp.
Is this the same thing as blue green algae.Bradimus wrote:Buy a high quality spirulina flake. This may take some searching at your LFS. Most foods labelled 'spirulina' actually contain little spirulina.

Check first to see if it has any preservatives. If not, you should be fine. I would pre-disolve the power in water before adding it. It is hard to say how much. Try this: Estimate how much flake food you would feed fish of the same size. Cut that amount in half. Crumble this up as much as possible. Give this much powder once or twice a week. If things go well, you can slowly increase the amount.reinnie wrote: Can I feed them the Spirulina powder capsule that they sell at the health store? and how much do I feed them?
I'm using a Rena Filstar Canister Filter XP3, this current is kind of strong even though it is at the lowest setting.Bradimus wrote:
